Can't wait for new year
Yesterday, I had to stay back late to finish up an assignment for an online course that I am doing. By the time i reached it was 8:40 PM, and to find a parking was the hardest....called up Benoie to take a look at the street from the top ;) LoL, there wasnt any, so I had to go round the park twice. I was thankful to God that I got a pretty nice one, closer to home and easier to take out te next morning.
I walked in and saw Abel was playing with Dada, n was trying to push off dada from the balcony. I was like why abel why are u pushing dada...he says "I throwing Dada". I know Benoie does something to irritate my li'l fellow, so expecting a complaint, I asked "Why darling, what did Dada do", to my surprise he said "nothing..i want to push him". So this was Dada's turn to complain that Abel wanted to push him off !! They were having a lot of Fun with abel's old car..the one he got when he was a year old. Abel told me "mumma see my new ALTIMA". He has this fascination for the 2009 Make Nissan ALTIMA, eversince his uncles' (benoie's younger twin brothers) bought one.
We had to get ready for the watch night service, so I thought it was better that I packed our bags for today. I put 4 pairs of housewear and outwaear for Abel and selected 2 sweaters to go with it. So my li'l fello comes running to me saying "Mumma, Ebba don want te red jacket, it is not nice" n he picked the black one which he loves to wear always. To put an end to my packing I had to accept his choice...luckily he wasnot around when I packed his outwears, my kiddo is too much some times.
Today, i got up early, and made sure again that everything was packed and took a pair of dress extra for me to change. Benoie said he would come back early to pick us up and drive to Sharjah.
I I forgot to carry the extra pair that I packed :) benoie was cool about that, in normal cases that would freak him out, making me an irresponsible GIRL ;) lol i guess he has given up on me ..

My Cuppy cake
I had work and had to stay back till 6:00 and by the time I reached home it was 7:00...
At the turn of the keys, my bud comes running, fully excited to see me...trust me I forget the pressures of life with that welcome. N we fill in on how we spent our days, and to lift him up, I'd bought some cheese (yes, we've found a PLACE to hide it ....in the veg cabinet in the refrigerator ::) ) much to our surprise, he has not explored that area yet...which is a boon.
I also gave him some dark chocholate (he calls it "bitter") to pep him up....
He was so excited that he wanted to know the name of the chocholate, n the name of the cheese.
I've noticed that he observes the logos a lot, it was 'al Marai' cheese than his usual 'Kiri' and he said mumma ...Is this is the "milk's cheese" ??
It didnt strike me first, so then he pointed his finger at the logo and said see mumma...
I was like "Wow, yes abel it is the same"
As were waiting for Abel's Dada to come, we thought of calling his "Atti"...
So i dialled, n he held the phone...n he started clacking to his atti ..wonder who answered..the phone. He filled in all of them with news related to each one. To Atti he was askign when she would come home. Poor thing still thinks she is going to come back, and it is so amazing that he points at a green t-shirt and says "atti koodae, schoolil wannata" means 'with Atti, he'd been to school wearing that shirt"
He asked if appacha and ammachi was there, n I guess he asked if Boney chacha was around.
With boney, he said that abel went visiting his mom...n my god he did not miss to say how he managed to flick Aunty's jeera candy !! He did speak to appacha n ammachi but could not make who he was talking to...
In the evening when Benoie came, he wanted to go to a Med shop to get some 3M™ Medical Transfer Adhesive to cover the surgery patch on B's face. Abel insisted that he wanted to join, he instructed "Mumma, gimme my Bike jaket"...
I said "No, Abel it is too cold outside"
Abel: "No mumma, i wannnta go with Dada"
B :"Abel, be here I will come back soon"
Abel rushes off to the wardrobe and opens the door to spot his jacket, unfortunately it is too high for his reach..and he shouts "Mummaa, come here...my jacket ...spider !!"
Well in the end, we decided that they both go for the "hunt" .
That gave me room to do some ground work for the DEc 31st watch night service. I'd volunteered to bake cakes for the night and have to do a few so that all of the church members gets a share :)
After work, i'd got some icing and fruit for the cake. N I moved on to bake one, now that abel was not around. I was done with the cake preparation and set it in the cooker....it was almost 20 mins and began to wonder what was taking so long for the duo to return. N lo after 25 mins they came back, B is happy that he smelt cake as he entered and was glad that it was double chocholate this time. So Abel hurries to the Kitchen and his Nanny asks.."Where did you go Abel"
He says : "Weruthaey shopill poyetha" meaning "We went just like that to a shop"
Benoie says, they had to walk up to more than 2 stores and didnt find the tape that he was looking for. Poor Abel must have been wondering why he volunteered to walk up with his Dada.

You're my apple plum ........
Abel's nanny our live-in maid, was not well for some days and had to take to the doc last night.
The plan was to somehow get the nanny while abel was blissfully taking his afternoon nap...
So, after work (needless to say that my parking woes continues...) I called home to nose out if my bud was actually slumbering...and to my luck no one answered. Benoie was to come home early to abel-sit (baby sit;)) n he did not pick the call. Was I blue that Plan A did not work?? I guess no...my optimistic self comes out alwayz...
I went up n found that some documentary was going on in the television, Benoie looked as though he had just dozed off in the middle..and my chap was sleeping on one of the couch.
Off I went to see the nanny, and asked her to get ready ....I had to wake up Benoie to let him kno tat we were leaving..n in about minutes the nanny was ready. I manged to get some bread* for the visit, and I was about to wave a bye..and there my 3 feet wiggles....!! Smelling danger, and wanting to sneak out, I took my keys and was about to head towards the door. I hear a voice filled with excitement "Mumma!!!"...my heart missed a beat !!!
Once I'm back from work, this fellow never lets me out without his self holding on to my fingers..
I knew there was going to be a lot of trouble!!
Benoie took him and said, let's watch the stars...and off they went to the balcony..
I could see abel lookin at me and saying "mumma"...
I blowed a kiss and said "I love you" and rushed out...
And the visit to the clinic took longer than I expected, the doc whom I wanted to go to shifted to another place. So we had to find one in that locality first and once we went in. They wanted us to do routine tests...in between I gave a ring home to see the state of affairs !!
The first time I called to say that we're looking for a clinic...n the receptor sounded tepid..
Being a mom, I could not stop myself from checking on the dad...n the kid.
So again I called...n lo, I guesss I heard an unhappy dad !! LoL
N if u dont know we, I sometimes get touchy with such inane stuff...tats the emotional me at times ;) N tat was the end of my calls...Must I say, they also know how to shun me off ..lol yeah
When I came back i saw a happy child and the older child was amused that we were home :)
Abel was changed in to a new pair of clothing...so was Benoie..
Abel was ready to shoot n goes "Mumma, is aunty in pain?"
Mumma : "Why do u ask baby?"
Abel : "Doctor gave injection?"
Mumma : "No, who told u we went to see the doc"
Abel: "dadda said, aunty mumma went hoshhpital", "doctor gave mumma injection"
Mumma: "No baby"
Abel :"mumma not a good girl" "doctor should have given u also"
Mumma :"why is that mumma is not good"
abel : "Mumma ran away from home".."mumma oodipoyi !!"
================
Yesterday my lunch bag was stained with the curry that I took for lunch and Abel walks with it to me.
"mumma, is this wet" Abel
Mumma : "No baby it is stained"
Dadda: "Abel, mumma has not cleaned her lunch bag, she must not do it, she doesn't spare u when u make a mess of things no"
Abel changes his tone and talks to me "Mumma, what is this? You put curry here !!"
lol he thought I purposely did it ...like he does
================
Benoie n Abel at play time...
Mumma was reading the news paper or some promotion stuff in the papers and out of no where I get hit by a ball. Looking around, I see abel was trying his turn of the game. Seeing the shock on my face, abel was amused...he started to giggle. N mumma tries to show abel how to throw it at a spcific object n how to focus. N dadda as ever wanted to have fun he purposely threw that at me, and abel was like "Dadda, wat are u doing !!!" "I wont talk to u"!!
N mommie me was impressed that he steppied in to protect me...
silly me...i was knocked right at my head by abel next...
Roll!!!
=============
I used to sing to abel all the while "You're my sunshine, my only sunshine"
Esp since when dad n mom left ....and the days he were at day care for 8 hours.
It used to break me apart to see that gloomy abel, so to lift his spirits I would keep singing back to him my versions
"My ebba mon my ebba mon I love to play with ebba mon..
I love to play with Abel dear
I am a Mumma
N this is my darling "
Acutal song goes
My piano my piano
I love to play my piano
I am a muscian
I pratice every day "
In my last post, I wanted to include this one :)
I've been singing to Abel, Amy Castle's you're my cuppy cake ...for a while n a few days back, i got a downloadable mp3 version for te li'l chap to listen to. Needless i say, my mobile has become like a mp3 player for my son that he thinks he can listen to it at all times. Yes, he did ask for it right after the church service...and he loves the part where it goes "Snoogums-Boogums, You're the Apple of my Eye" but he goes....you're my apple plum !!

Imagination let loose !!
When I went home, he wanted me to get him one of his toys which is purposely left out of his reach, so that he does not smash it up, if ever he feels like throwing a tantrum !!
N so he was like "Mumma enikku wenam aa John Cahndy uncle car"..(well yes he names the cars with the people who gifted him with those..N uncle has given him the biggest of the cars and the most number also :) ) I was like okay i will give ....So I took it off the shelf slowly placed it on the tea table...and said "Okay ebba, play with it,,mumma is going to read and pray for soem time, please dont disturb" He had to shake his head and say "yes", as I was still holding on to the priceless piece..
He pointed at the glass and said "atti evidundae", n at the next window he points and says "boney chacha evidunedu"n the imagination goes on....
N there was some minutes of silence...n I began reading....
N Abel comes running...in a panicked voice.."mumma, mummma..come come"
i was like "what happened"
he said "atti,boney chacha"
N I went..."Hmm now wat?"
Before i got up, I said ...wats with them
He said "come"
So I rushed to the scene...I dont see anything but the car on the floor ...all looked perfect to me..
he goes and points to the glass window of his toy car and says "Mumma, mumma..see atti, boney chacha" n I went "hmmmmmmm!!"
He said "Atti, dont move..avidae irikku"
I was curious to know wat happened to his imaginary "atti"
He said.."mumma ah back illae car attiyae muttuva!! Boney chacha kku kanna pattilla, difficult aa"
Seeing all this drama, I decided not to waste and slowly tried to goo off the scene, tis lil master comes up to me and says "mumma, atti and boney chacha wants gina aunty's mitsubishi pajero.." (well tats another car given by his jamechumcha and ginaaunty that we've put up above his reach !!)
I was like "no, they have this car ...this is much powerful than the the pajero"
Abel says "No mumma, aa carillae athu mutti, attikku sit cheyyan pattathilla"
N he pleads.....that I have to give the other one..
Now when he sees that I;m goin to give th other the threw the one he was playin with...
N I was mad...so I said..."No abel, u should not throw one when u get another"
N tis fella is telling me "Mumma abel throw old pampers, abel take new pampers !!"
Wat a concept !!
After this, I insisted that he put out the first car that he was playing with and left him with pajero..
N this is how abel reacted "AtTTT!!! (alomost shouting " Come out , boney chacha waaa"
"Sit in this new car"...n he opened the doors for atti and boney chcahn and was slowly helping his atti n boney chcahn with the transistion in to the new car, pajero...
Hmmm wat more should I expect...
N once he finished atti and boney chacha in to their new car..he says "mumma avaru bangooril pokuva"
N he was slowly navigating it thro the sofa and it reached my lap.
Then suddenly the phone rang, that I wanted to rush to get it...
N abel's reaction was like "mummaa enthinaaa" almost in tears..."atti boney chacha thazae weezhum"
My my .....
another one...
We caught him fiddling with Benoie's phone, so benoie asks him "abel wat are u doing with my mobile" abel says "dadda, message ayakkuva...daddakku, njan eppo biggh ayyi"
more to come .........
Abel's grown up :)
I am usually dead tired when I'm back from work, more than the work, it is the time that I "hunt" for a parking that wears me out !! N I have this 3-ft thing which thuds at the washroom the moment I step in...wanting to barge in to my privity....we moms are very accomodating but to this extent !! He keeps me alert and up that he reminds me to hold my head up (most of the times).
So yesetrday was just another day, before I could open the door the 3 ft, bumped in to me..n went in to peals of laughther ....n I walked in to the maid's room area to drop my shoes off...n to change in to my sandals..n he goes "oh mumma, this is not niceeee" Not able to control my surrprise I asked..."why ebba? wats wrong with this one?" He says "no mumma ..u know, tis has chichibaee (which means dirty in his language)" I was like "saramilla monay"..n u won't believe he was not calmed until I changed in to another pair!!
I managed to drop my bags, get a glass of water, said "hello" to my maid...n went off to my room to change in to home wear...n there this sud missile (as Atti calls him) follows..
Next question:
"Mumma, where is David "...
I was like "What which david baby?"
He has been watching the cartoons of David n Goliath n also Jodi Benson's, baby sized version of David and the Psalms "God Made Music"
N to tell u, the other day he wanted to be a "muscician" like david in the movie..
And almost about a month ago, we attended a wedding of my friend's sister where Benoie, Me n Abel attended, and we met people from work. One of them was, our eLearning Co-ordinator, David Barclay so just to make sure which david he was referring to..
I asked again, "which david baby?"
N he was like "mmmtcchh mmmthch (tryin to scratch his head) mmmm david unlce, mumma's mannnger?"
I was like ...."He must have gone home after work, why do u ask, baby !!"
N he goes "hmm mumma, Ebba want uncle to play the harp"
I was like "He doesnt know how to play the harp, baby"
He said "No, Mumma manager, Davis is a King"
"my dvd says David was a muscian, he loved to play the harp"
U can imagine my reaction...

My world in Dec
She is a full time live-in housekeeper, whom I am trusting to keep the child with after school and also to keep my apartment in applie-pie order. And if all goes well, B can sponsor her too :) i.e if her present employer has no objection in the transfer.
It doesnt take long to win my confidence according to some of my acquaintances, I admit they've judged me right, but I hope this one is not one of those cases that I've considered facile ... It is a win-win situation if you are lucky to find a nanny who is a good care taker and who has moderately good amount of patience when hadling tiny tots. So far, Mrs. A has been good with Abel n with us. I hope it continues.....so.

Encounter
As I crossed it, many thoughts ran on my mind, if only we have the time to see and enjoy the nature more than these artificially made things ton increase the aesthetic sense...we'd appreciate the creator more than the sculptors, architects and interior designers... But again the thought of someone having been bestowed with the talent and skill to bring out this magnificent piece of work is quite encouraging. The time the mortal creator spent in nurturing his talent as to bring out this piece is truly motivating. Hmm thanks for making my day :)
I reached earlier than my regular just in time visit :) said a word of thanks to God for keeping me through this. I have been facing or rather struggling within me with a lot of questions, the future career path looks plain as I look...!!! O how I wish I knew how to move on and what to aim at. You have a few options spread out, but to choose the right one or the one that would suit me is cumbersome.
Over to family, Its been more than a week that my Ebba's left to granny's care and I just want to hold him, give him a shower, play pals and a lot more...the telephonic conversation does not give you the pleasure of talking coz you dont feel their presence :) Today atleast I hope to see my husband which would take me off the pain of not being able to be with Ebba...We miss Attiiii Thokkku and such cute words, the banging..and a lot more. Mom's still recovering, Dad takes time to do as much as he can to help her stay put that she can take rest. Atti's getting new tensions in life...to proceed or not to is the new quest that she has.
N I'm one day closed to meet my sweetie pie...

Effacing Emotions :)
Its fun to rewind to those first few minutes of every evening when I'm being welcomed by 'Mamaaaaaaaaaaa' n n the antics Ebba plays just to be the center of attraction. N it irks to feel that it will take another week to have him around. How I wish the weather didn't have to take its toll on people, as to keep these precious ones far from reaching the person.
Its not the usual me who'd be ranting about proximity to weekends ..n lo, the here is I'm using up the web space as my confidante...to vehement whining n yes there is yet another one who remains still all through out till I finish...n thats my Creator who I'd want to run to, at all times :)
Its more than drag at work, by having to wait to get your hands on fresh n challenging tasks. And I've learned that to make it becoming of you to remain worthy of those peaches-and-cream tasks you need to analyze the gaps by filling in with the key essentials like subject matter knowledge, accuracy, efficiency, effectiveness and interest in acquiring new skills by professional development.
It may take months to reach what one wants, but, you are close to achieving it if you works towards it...
Peek-a-Boo
Ter wz always tiz side of me, who wanted to shift abodes, move to greener pastures when life on the whole appeared monotonous. Well, some things are inevitable, at least in this part of the globe, now it z adding to my new discovery on life's games that to remain in the picture perfect work takes lot of work for some blokes n also that it is not always a choice that you make, but get tied to not coz of any liabilities or obligations whatsoever, simply coz it snugs u away to heights of ___ (let me not fill tat now) (it is not a fib now abt the perfect work env or is it? hmm time will only tell )
The last week was staggering enough, with the retrograding physical state of one of the progenitors of the Kadesh Saks family one just carry the careworn look around. It does call in for those energy boosters but wasn't intriguing enough to stack up the energy, I'd rather wither away as to hit the sack :) If Ebbz was around probably it was worth the time, the 3-foot shadow of mine who looks up always for more n more :) Esp now, with an upswing of the art of speech, he constantly seems to amaze me. I wish this disposition of not having you around doesn't last for long.....

Dec 31st Watch Night Service !
At one signal, there were a lot of cars trying to sneak in to that last lane and as always benoie was also behind them, and we saw a cop right in front of us, so he was forced to take another exit back to Dubai, god we were picking on him. It was his night...n Abel was like Momma where are we going. It took almost 5 hours for us to reach the place...We were saying that even a flight to India would not take that long !!!
Abel was irritate with the late night thingy, he goes to bed by 9:30 everyday and wanted Dinner. So we stepped in, Abel sees his friends on the keyboard and is happy that it is song time...
He was cranky but from time to time was cheered with the songs. And before the sermon, they asked families to share their testimony for the year, and said we could cut back time by allowing one person from a home to say, so I let Benoie do the saying. He was showing gestures to see if he could put that on me, as one of the new year message was by him. so, when the pastor called out we both stood up and this lilo would not budge, he wanted Appam and Pappadam(of all the things!!) I tried to give him the snack I had with me...but he didn't want it. Poor thing wanted to sleep.
Nijo's li'l baby Efraim was my life saver for the night, Abel was distracted with the 2 month old and wanted to uncurl his fingers. He kept telling me that "mumma, tis baby is not opening his hand !!"
Then it was the kids turn to do to the stage and say a verse or testimony, and Abel loves the attention and the authority he gets; to hold the mic! He jumped out of the mat and went running. One by one they recited the verses, and when it was Abel's turn this fellow hits his finger twice on the mic, like a pro, and looks at me....I thought if I prompt a bit he would say the rest...he could not hear what I said, so this guy almost took three steps in the front and said "eh, what mumma|.." i could hear laughs ..lol my hero !!
So I said "Blessed are the pure in heart...." hoping he would complete.
Abel looked confident as I said these words...He said "pure in heart ...god"
No one could make anything out of it, but he had us...
During "tithes and offerings" time, he opened my wallet and found a 50 Dh note and said "mumma I want this...." LoL this is the same child who makes sure that we stop by every donation boxes in the malls and drop in something !!
When it was Benoie;s time to give the message, Abel went to the stage (of ocourse no one called him!!!) and started singing with benoie...It was fun to watch, two different guy, one knowing the importance and the relevance of standing in front of a crowd, and the other thinking it is just another one of the times where he gets to sing along daddy !! We could hear abels "yae yae yae" more louder than Benoie's.
I loved the message, it was encouraging and fitted with the present situation around !!
By 2 am we finished the service, took promise verses for the year, and then moved on. Abel's nanny forgot to cut the cake that we made at home. We'd baked 2 cakes for the night..it was a blessing in disguise, we asked the leaders to cut the cake and start the year. We had an early morning dinner ...lol, and Abel had nothing but the samosas, chocholates and chicken, and some cake. Benoie's mom had made "appam" (te sweet version).
When it was time for everyone to leave, abel was like "appacha and ammachi go to sharjah, we will come there tomorrow". He intended to say that "we are going to abu dhabi, u guys please go to sharjah, i will come tomorrow". He didnt kno that our plans were to stay over with them.
A beautiful call, to walk with people To share their tears, to lift a prayer, to stand with hope when none is there. Oh the joy our hearts...
